The New Zealand IPv6 Internet Exchange (V6IX) is an distributed Ethernet-based neutral peering point running on switches in Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand.
By peering at the Exchange you agree to provide routing information about your networks to other Exchange participants to optimise traffic flows across the Exchange. For more details of this agreement see the ExchangeNET Terms and Conditions
In order to participate in V6IX, you need to be attached to one of the V6IX switches, have a router capable of running IPv6 and BGP/4, and a block of IPv6 numbers that are yours to route.
To arrange a direct connection, complete the application form.
Alternatively, those who are located elsewhere in New Zealand can use one of the IPv6 Tunnelbrokers located at the Auckland Peering Exchange (APE) and the Wellington Internet Exchange (WIX) using the IPv6 Tunnel form
